Local Food Meets Student's "Body" With Good & Natural Food

Commissioner Jamie Comer, Department of Agriculture, appeared yesterday at Eastern Kentucky University along with President Whitlock to announce a "Farm To Campus" initiative.  Of course, the thing was brilliantly organized and executed by our good friend, Marc Whitt, EKU's guru on this type of press event thing.  In the EKU bookstore (operated by Barnes & Noble), the Commissioner announced that he would be reaching out to all Kentucky's universities and colleges with a healthy food initiative.

Start Truckin'

Food trucks are either a fad or another evolutionary step for an increasing number of consumers on the run and prone to forego slaving over the stove themselves in favor of a quick bite.  As an article in Business Asset, Spring 2013, entitled "Motorized Meals -- Where everything is A la carte" puts it, "you are running errands, on your lunch hour and there's a long line at the drive-through of your local fast-food joint -- where can you get a quick bite to eat?"
